Munnar : This is a hill station in the Western Ghats, above 4500 feet from sea level. Known among the best hill stations of Kerala. It is one of the major centre for Kerala's tea industry. The name Munnar means three rivers and this misty town is located at the confluence of 3 mountain streams - Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Munnar is also known for its lakes, forests and tea estates, among which Tata Tea hold major portion of it. Anaimudi, the highest peak in South India (2695 m/8883 ft.) is located near to this destination. Munnar was once the British Government's Summer Camp and it has been the favorite summer destination for the European sellers for centuries.
What to do in Munnar :
Shopping : Munnar is essentially a hill station. Hence, there is hardly any scope for shopping in Munnar as such. In Munnar, shopping areas are limited to just small markets and shops that sell small items as souvenirs. You may not find information on where to shop in Munnar. So the question of what to buy in Munnar doesn't quite have an answer.
Munnar is famous for its tea and spices plantations. So if you want, you can buy different varieties of spices and different varieties of tea. You can get the spices packed in small transparent pouches and take them home. Better still, visit a factory and they will be all the more glad to give you free samples of their spices and tea leaves. Apart from that, you can always shop for small handicrafts and other knick-knacks that are easily available in the roadside shacks. While in Munnar, it is better
if you look out for the small items that can be given as souvenirs than hunt for branded stuff that are available all around the world.

Day 01 Receive you at Thrissur Home
Our private chauffeur with car will receive you at Thrissur Home and proceed directly to Munnar (140 km – 4 hours drive). Check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, take a stroll in Munnar Town ; visit to Tea Museum etc. Overnight in Munnar.
Day 02 After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing.
Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. In the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai were the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted. Overnight stay.
Day 03 free at leisure , check out
After breakfast ; free at leisure. Before noon, check out from the hotel and drive to Thrissur with sweet memories.
